Those who enjoy meat and those who would rather not have a place to coexist in Highland Park. Burgerlords is a no-nonsense burger establishment that first started at their flagship shop in Chinatown. Since January, they began serving their traditional style burgers from a window at the Hi Hat. Patties are made from grass-fed beef, while their vegan patties are made fresh daily with a custom blend of grains and vegetables. Amp up your side of fries by ordering the Lord of the Fries, fries topped with cheese, thousand island sauce and grilled onion (available vegan too.)

The Morrison in Atwater Village is a Scottish-themed gastropub where opulent burgers meet an extensive selection of beer. From the bacon-and-blue-cheese Bacon Bourbonator, the fried-egg-and-cheddar-pancake Late Breakfast, or the BBQ lathered top with smoked peppers Old Smokey, the burgers here are far from simple. Each burger selection is paired with beer suggestions to make your selection just a little easier. They also boast a solid veggie burger and braised portobello burger. This French-inspired Silver Lake eatery specializes in unique, made-to-order burgers. The word haché (pronounced ah-shay) is French for ground steak. The freshly-ground steak patties they serve are less fatty and firmer than traditional burgers we’re used to. The patties are ground fresh, cooked immediately and seasoned only on the exterior (as you would a steak.) Favorites are the Karma burger and the Silver Lake burger. If you’re looking to expand your burger pallette, this is the place for you.
Haché LA is located at 3319 W Sunset Blvd in Silver Lake. They’re open everyday from 11:30am – 11:00pm, except for Friday and Saturday, when they close at midnight.
